Anu’s inspiring journey, chronicled in her book, podcast, and the upcoming film ‘Silent Screams,’ resonates deeply with audiences worldwide, igniting hope and empowerment. Meet Jess Peters, our Board Vice President, a versatile talent with a background in aviation engineering and a passion for storytelling. With her debut book ‘Alchemy Academy’ and her dedication to screenwriting, Jess brings a unique blend of technical expertise and creative vision to our foundation, poised to elevate our projects to new heights.
Meet Rebecca Heidt, our Board Secretary, acclaimed author of the fantasy fiction series ‘Acceptance’ and self-publisher of three internationally recognized books. With extensive guest appearances on podcasts covering mental health, self-development, and writing, Rebecca is now delving into scriptwriting and directing for feature films, collaborating with industry leaders such as Sir Marco Robinson and Hexagon Films.
Meet Andrea Bizderi Whelan, our Board Treasurer, a versatile talent with a background in computer engineering, finance, and marketing. As a successful author and filmmaker across multiple genres, including psychological thrillers and young adult sci-fi fantasy, A.B. Whelan brings a wealth of creativity and strategic insight to our foundation. Her multifaceted expertise and dedication to independent filmmaking make her an invaluable asset in our mission to support and nurture filmmakers
Meet Kyle Paige, our Chairman of the board. He is a veteran banker with over 10 years of experience in financial services and business leadership. He brings deep expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and strategic planning. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in major banking institutions, leading initiatives that drove growth, efficiency, and innovation. He has completed executive training in leadership and board governance. As Chairman, Kyle provides strategic oversight and governance, and supports the executive team in achieving long-term value.
Meet Allison Whelan, our talented intern at the Indie Filmmakers Foundation. Currently attending TASIS London for IB film with two years of Film I and Film II education in California. She is a passionate filmmaker and community organizer. Her silent short film “Missing’ was selected as a finalist at the International Youth Silent Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. A gifted film editor and visionary storyteller, Allison brings creativity, dedication, and a fresh perspective to our mission of supporting independent filmmakers.
